Lead Acid Battery Recycling Plant | Complete Turnkey Recycling Solution

Smelting :

In the smelting process, metallic lead is produced in Short Rotary Furnaces operating at temperatures ranging from 1000°C to 1400°C. This is a batch process, where lead scrap is fed into the rotary furnace in controlled batches. Inside the furnace, the reduction reaction takes place, converting the lead compounds into high-purity metallic lead.
The rotary design ensures uniform heating, efficient reduction, and maximum recovery of lead while minimizing fuel consumption and emissions. This process is widely used in battery recycling plants, lead refineries, and metal processing units due to its efficiency, safety, and environmental compliance.

Refining :

The refining operation is a pyrometallurgical process, carried out in kettles with capacities of 25 MT or 40 MT. During this process, impurities such as copper, tin, arsenic, and bismuth are removed from hard lead to produce pure lead.
The result is high-quality lead with a purity of 99.97% (minimum), making it suitable for battery manufacturing, refining plants, and other industrial applications.
